Diarmaid Maccullough Hates Christianity?

I watched the last episode of the BBC's History of Christianity last night and for me the writer and presenter of the show Diarmaid Maccullough hit an unforgivable new low when he blamed Christianity for the Holocaust.
His reasoning for this was that Hitler had killed the Jews because he blamed them for killing Christ. I kid you not. Maccullough (whom I have blogged about previously) is supposed to be a Christian but must surely almost hate the religion if this awful series is anything to go by (is it because he's gay? - just asking).
Typical BBC stuff this, there is I believe now from the establishment a concerted anti Christian onslaught taking place - do they want it replaced by Islam? Probably.

Hitler killed the Jews because they had money and property and he wanted them dispossessed. And they were not a popular subculture in Germany at the time so not all that many Germans stood up for them. I think that "religion" was the smallest possible reason for the holocaust.

LL: Agreed.

The sad thing is that people will lap it up and not know any different because they've been dumbed down.

You obviously didn't watch Gerry Adams on Channel 4 tonight with his version of Jesus. I didn't but I saw a few trailers.

Subrosa: Yes I watched Gerry Adams and he really was not that bad. He obviously has a somewhat 'dodgy' past but I honestly - and obviously controversially - think I'd choose him over the simpering, arrogant, smug, slyly Christianity hating Maccullough.

I could not watch a programme made by the BBC about Christianity. Even when I was making radio programmes it was clear that those responsible for commissioning them (who I often met) were antis and that the only show that was going to get made was one that knocked it.

As for the gay bit, the BBC has long been a place where if you are gay, it more or less guarantees you a job.

is it because he's gay? (that there is no clue to what the teachings of Jesus meant). Yes.

For example, from Mary Magdalene's Gospel 11) "The Savior answered and said, He does not see through the soul nor through the spirit, but the mind that is between the two that is what sees the vision and it is [...]"

When the father is not in you there is no soul just superstitions and miracles of The Madonna for with no mind to discern there are but intrigues to feed.
