Why?
If we want to spend we will spend.
If we want to keep hold of our money then that's what we'll do.
Why can't we just decide for ourselves?
What's next - compulsory spending?
It was too much reckless spending that got us into this mess in the first place.
The government is pushing us to buy crap trashy goods that we don't want and certainly don't need and the very production of which is contributing to the messing up of the planet.
Capitalism and materialism are the new (not so new actually) Gods.
We have to take a step back and re-evaluate things, this cycle of greed cannot continue, but greed is all that the politicians want to know.
The cause of the problem cannot also be the cure for the problem.
I for one will NOT be spending, I'm disobeying the governments orders - fuck 'em!

They'll be lucky, the Japanese government tried for years to get their people spending, the more they gave them the more they saved and they had deflation and o% inflation.
And when they did spend, they spent in Australia and New Zealand, not Japan.
I'm not spending my money but not ... er ... for that reason. I just don't have any.
Most folk are waiting for their next pay cheque (if they are lucky enough to have one) January is a long, long month!
As soon as my money goes in it gets withdrawn immediately, don`t spend your money yes, but dont let the banks make interest on it either!
