I went to the shop to buy a Mothers Day card today and amongst the display of cards in the shop was one that read 'To My Wife on Mothers Day'!I beg your pardon? To My Wife on Mothers Day?
Am I being stupid here or are there people out there who have actually married their mothers?!!
And there are cards for these people also?
Or, as I said, am I being stupid?

That was my first thought!
I think all those holidays were just invented by the greeting card companies anyway. In the US we also have grandparents' day, children's day, secretary's day, boss's day, ad infinitum and ad nauseum.
