In my part of Wales at the moment they're talking of closing down three High Schools (we've only got five), they're also talking of closing down hospital wards and in the recent cold weather B roads (and even main roads actually) were not properly gritted - also pavements were not touched.Sunday, 24 January 2010

Fat Cats Grow Fatter as People Line up to Kick the Posties
Read this and weep. As people join in the kicking and grinding into the dirt of the lazy postmen (on £8.50 an hour) the bankers who have ruined the country (just last year actually) are now getting wonderfully huge bonuses once again (Goldman Sachs is paying each of it's bankers a £440,000 bonus amongst other disgusting absurdities).Friday, 21 August 2009
Lockerbie Compassion
Next time you're on an aeroplane (maybe with your wife and kids) just think about what the Lockerbie bomber did and see if you can feel compassion for him.And don't you just love the way the Labour government seem to be distancing themselves from the whole sorry mess?
They're as keen on his release as the Scottish 'government' (didn't know they had one actually).

Deliberate Misunderstanding of British Jobs for British Workers
It seems to me after watching tonight's BBC News that the BBC, the unions and the government are deliberately misunderstanding the 'British Jobs For British Workers' dispute.Wednesday, 28 January 2009
What Has The Car Industry Ever Done For Me?
Okay, so yesterday we had announcements from the government (all hail) of measures to 'boost' the 'ailing' car industry. Lots of 'boosts' and 'ailings' nowadays you'll probably have noticed.I can't be bothered to go over the details of the government's 'package' (lots of 'packages' at the moment as well of course), but suffice to say that they hope these 'measures' (lots of them also) will help the industry by amongst other things encouraging people to start buying new cars again.
Well I say to the car industry and the government: BOLLOCKS!!
I'm sorry but that's how I feel.
If I want to buy a new car then I'll buy a new car because I want to buy a new car, not to help the car industry (what have they ever done for me) or the government (ditto).
And if I want to keep my money in my arse pocket so to speak then that's exactly what I'll do.
Too much spending on crappy goods that we neither want nor need and cannot afford has got us into this mess in the first place and this ridiculous government of ours think amazingly that the self same thing will somehow get us out of this mess.
So with apologies to any car industry workers out there I'm not going to buy a new car and I am going to keep my money in my arse pocket. So there.
PS: and if Brown and co try to persuade me to buy other goods I don't really want just to 'kick start' (there's another) the economy then whatever it is that they're flogging they can bugger off too!

Disobey The Government - Don't Spend Your Money!
So the government is desperate to get us all spending more money we are told. Why?
If we want to spend we will spend.
If we want to keep hold of our money then that's what we'll do.
Why can't we just decide for ourselves?
What's next - compulsory spending?
It was too much reckless spending that got us into this mess in the first place.
The government is pushing us to buy crap trashy goods that we don't want and certainly don't need and the very production of which is contributing to the messing up of the planet.
Capitalism and materialism are the new (not so new actually) Gods.
We have to take a step back and re-evaluate things, this cycle of greed cannot continue, but greed is all that the politicians want to know.
The cause of the problem cannot also be the cure for the problem.
I for one will NOT be spending, I'm disobeying the governments orders - fuck 'em!

Shannon Mathews Soul Searching
So an independent review has been ordered into the Shannon Mathews case."I think it is important that there is an independent review of the history and records of all agencies' dealings with the family. '' said Kirklees Council leader Robert Light.
Children's Secretary (didn't know we had one) Ed Balls has even waded in with "I don't think that court fees, or anything else should ever stand in the way of local authorities doing the right thing to make sure children are safe."
I think, as usual that the powers that be are barking up the wrong tree.
All they can see fit to do is to try and introduce more procedural bullshit into the bullshit organisations that they have created.
How can social services etc stop this sort of thing happening again they ask?
Well I think that they should look at the whole case from the angle of this: how can the society that they (successive left wing governments that is) have created, have itself created creatures like Karen Mathews and her cohorts?
THEY have created this society and this society has created these people.
Soul searching time for the liberal elite?
It should be, but I doubt it will be.
