Convenient Crime Figures

It is announced that crime is at an all time low (lies, damned lies and statistics).
Hot on the heels of this is it announced that 60,000 police officers are to lose their jobs (money more important than safe streets).
Soon after a leading (left wing) charity says that people should confront anti social behaviour themselves and not rely on the police to do so (do gooders).
All three items are unconnected of course...
So, very little crime leads to fewer police officers which leads to the public policing themselves.
Anarchy!

Human Rights Centred Approach Policing

Yes, that's how Chief Constable Matt Baggott of the Police Service of Northern Ireland described his officers handling of the riots in Belfast last night.
It looked to me like an embarrassing namby pamby capitulation and non effort by the Police.
It reminded me of the police at a demo in London a few years ago in their hi vis vests (lots of WPC's amongst them of course) walked backwards for about 2 miles while being attacked by a baying Islamic mob.
The police nowadays seem to be all or nothing.

Management speak Police

Every time I hear a police spokesman/woman/person/thing nowadays (especially the Raoul Moat case) they seem to be speaking some kind of new speak management pc bullshit type stuff.
Listen out for it.
